Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in London is seeking a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join the team. This is an entry-level position suitable for a graduate or someone with up to one year’s experience to develop within a supportive consultancy.

The role will cover ground investigations, contaminated land, environmental monitoring and technical reporting across London and the UK, with opportunities for training and chartership support.

Qualifications

Degree in Geology, Geo-Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences or related subject.
Ground investigation or contaminated land experience is beneficial.
Willingness to work outdoors and travel across London and the UK.
Strong communication and report writing skills.
Full UK driving licence or working towards one.

Responsibilities

Assist with ground investigations across London
Soil and rock logging
Groundwater and ground gas monitoring
Support Phase I and Phase II assessments
Environmental and geotechnical sampling
Assist with contaminated land and remediation projects
Prepare technical reports
Maintain project records and documentation
Support data interpretation and client liaison
