Job summary

TipTopJob is recruiting a Graduate Engineering Geologist in Hertfordshire for a growing consultancy. This hands-on role blends site and office work, offering exposure to ground investigation, geotechnical assessment and reporting.

The successful candidate will hold a Geology or Engineering Geology degree, demonstrate strong communication and report-writing skills, and be prepared to work on site and in the office.

Qualifications

• A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or a related subject.
• Good communication and report writing skills.
• A willingness to work both on site and in the office.
• A full UK driving licence is desirable.
• Previous placement or site experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with ground investigations and site work
• Logging soil and rock to relevant standards
• Carrying out site observations and geotechnical testing
• Supporting desk studies and ground assessments
• Assisting with factual and interpretative reporting
• Reviewing and interpreting ground investigation data
• Liaising with contractors and clients
• Supporting senior engineers with project delivery
• Developing your technical knowledge through training and mentoring
