Job summary

Rexroth is seeking a Graduate Placement in Birmingham to contribute across Advanced Engineering & Product Development, Controls & Automation, Electrical/Electronics & Embedded Systems, and Mechanical Engineering. You will assist with concept studies, simulations and prototype testing while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or closely related technical discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Interest in multidisciplinary engineering and emerging technologies.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development of new products, technologies and engineering solutions.
• Assist with concept generation, feasibility studies and technical investigations.
• Translate customer and business requirements into engineering requirements and solutions.
• Support the design, development and optimisation of prototypes and production products.
• Undertake engineering calculations, simulations and technical analysis.
• Assist with design reviews, technical presentations and engineering documentation.
• Investigate technical problems and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
• Support continuous improvement and the introduction of new technologies into existing products and manufacturing processes.
• Develop an understanding of complex engineering systems and their interactions.
• Assist with the definition and management of system requirements.
• Develop system architectures and functional specifications.
• Support the integration of mechanical, electrical, electronic and software systems.
• Assist with system-level testing, validation and verification.
• Develop system block diagrams, functional models and technical documentation.
• Support root-cause investigations of system-level failures and performance issues.
• Consider reliability, safety, performance, cost and manufacturability throughout the development process.
