Job summary

University College Birmingham is seeking an Employability Tutor (HE) to provide careers, employability and placement services for our students in Birmingham. The role supports HE courses and builds employability and career management skills to deliver positive graduate outcomes.

The role involves developing links with UCB Schools and departments, engaging employers for placements, and supporting students into placements or relevant industry experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum level 3 qualification.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Willingness to conduct placement visits off-site as required.
• Ability to develop links with UCB Schools/Departments and employers.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong links with UCB Schools and Departments regarding the service.
• Engage with employers to source and develop partnership and placement opportunities.
• Support students into placements/work experience or relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organisation and IT administration skills.
• Carry out placement visits off-site as required.
