Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd. is recruiting for a Graduate Electronics Engineer to kickstart your career on an 18‑month programme based in Edinburgh or Newcastle. You will design, test and integrate electronic circuits and hardware as part of a team of experts.

You will receive coaching, formal training, and support toward chartership, with a starting salary of £34,000 per year and bonuses. The role emphasizes on‑site learning three to four days per week to maximize practical exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s degree, or higher degree (MSc or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• Interest in RF, Microwave, power supply, FPGAs or high‑speed digital circuitry; indicate preference on CV and screening questions.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience across the development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration and test.
• Contribute to electronic hardware disciplines such as RF, Microwave, FPGA and High‑Speed Digital Engineering.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software and Mechanical engineers and interface with customers and end users when possible.
