Job summary

A leading electronics employer near Derby/Nottingham seeks a Graduate Electronics Engineer to join their R&D and manufacturing teams. You will work on electronic design for new products and improvements, generating documentation and contributing to CE compliance and power/analogue design.

You will develop automated test processes, support NPIs, and assist with manufacturing issues. A 1st class or 2:1 in Electronic/Electrical Engineering is expected and eligibility to live/work in the UK is

Qualifications

• Minimum 1st class or 2:1 in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (hons).
• Willingness to work across R&D, manufacturing and product development.
• Experience with PCB design from schematic capture.

Responsibilities

• Design PCB from schematic capture and contribute to electronic design.
• Support CE compliance, power supply and analogue design for new and existing products.
• Create and maintain documentation for products and testing procedures.
• Develop automated test processes for higher volume products and liaise with internal staff or subcontractors.
• Assist with NPIs and provide technical support to manufacturing and test teams.

Job Outline

My client, who is a leading manufacturer of specialist electronic equipment, now seeks a Graduate Electronics Engineer to join their growing team based close to Derby/Nottingham.

The successful candidate will be a recent Electronics Graduate who is keen to get involved with all aspects of R&D, Manufacturing and Product development work.

Working within my clients R&D and Manufacturing facility, you will be involved with electronic design for both new products and improvements/upgrades to existing products as well generating associated documentation.

You will provide engineering input on new product design on a variety of aspects such as CE compliance, power supply design, analogue design and even mechanical aspects of product housing.

You will also identify and undertake a wide variety of type testing to validate performance and inform the design process.

In addition to this, you will help develop automated test processes for larger volume and new products, working with staff in-house, or sub-contractors, to embed new test procedures to improve product quality and reduce in process or goods-inward non-conformities.

This role will cover NPI activities, supporting test & calibration when required, as well as supporting manufacturing with any technical issues etc.

This is a varied and interesting role that will allow the successful candidate to experience and develop within a dynamic and positive working environment.

The successful candidates should have the ability to design PCB from schematic capture, along with a good working knowledge of SPICE or other circuit simulation packages and a good working knowledge of MATLAB.

Qualifications

It is expected that you will have a minimum of a 1st class or 2:1 in Electronic / Electrical Engineering (hons) or related subject.
