Job summary

Advanced Technical Recruitment seeks a Junior Electronics Engineer in Oxfordshire to support the design, development and testing of electronics, hardware and PCBs for optoelectronic systems. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electronics into sensing systems and occasionally reverse engineer third‑party items.

The role requires 1–5 years of post‑graduate experience in electrical design, including PCB design and microcontrollers, with a degree in Electronics or Electrical

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors in Electronics or Electrical Engineering required.
• Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics fundamentals.
• Experience with PCB design and embedded systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development and testing of electronics, hardware and PCBs for optoelectronic systems.
• Design and develop new electronic products meeting customer requirements.
• Bench testing, fault finding and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies in lab.

Junior Electronics Engineer - Oxfordshire - LM1255

Job Outline:

Now is an exciting time to join a rapidly growing leading developer of optical sensing technologies, who is looking for a Junior Electronics Engineer. Joining a multidisciplinary team, your main responsibility will be to support the design, development and testing of electronics, hardware and PCBs, for optoelectronic systems. You will design and develop new electronic products and PCBs which meet customer requirements. In addition, you will be responsible for bench testing, fault finding and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies in the lab. Working closely with the optical, mechanical and software engineers, you will be involved in the integration of the electronics into the new sensing systems. From time to time, you will also be required to reverse engineer third-party electronic items.

Experience:

We are looking for a graduate with 1-5 years post-graduation commercial experience in Electrical Design, including PCB Design, Embedded Systems, Microcontrollers.

Qualifications:

To succeed, you should have achieved a Masters or Bachelors in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, coupled with a strong understanding of the fundamentals of analogue and digital electronics principles.
