Job summary

Mott MacDonald is offering a graduate Electrical Engineer role in our Water Utility Division in the UK. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team delivering critical infrastructure for water, wastewater, flood protection, and environmental resilience, while growing your technical and project management skills.

You will work on electrical and ICA designs, gain exposure to project management, and benefit from mentoring and our Early Careers network as you begin a long-term career with us.

Qualifications

• Less than 12 months relevant experience (excluding placements).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, obtained no earlier than 2025 or expected.
• Some opportunities require a master’s degree.
• Demonstrate genuine interest by highlighting modules, experience, or research about the company, its values and projects.
• The recruitment process is human-led and AI tools are not used at this stage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical and ICA (EICA) designs for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Produce drawings such as plant general arrangements, power SLDs, cable block diagrams, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and control architecture.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
• Apply digital tools and data-driven approaches to improve design quality and efficiency.
• Gain exposure to project and commercial management via mentoring and training.
