• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• Basic understanding of protection schemes, relay logic, and control system principles.
• Familiarity with power system fundamentals, substation layouts, or single line diagrams.
• Knowledge of SCADA/DCS systems, industrial communications, or cybersecurity in energy systems.
• Competence in tools such as Python, MATLAB, or AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and configuration of protection and control systems for electrical substations.

This graduate role is ideal for someone passionate about electrical engineering and looking to grow a career in substation protection and control systems. You will gain hands-on experience in designing, configuring and testing protection and control solutions for different voltage level substations.

You'll be mentored by experienced engineers and will rotate through various teams within Grid Automation to build a strong technical foundation in substation automation, SCADA systems, communication protocols (IEC 61850), and cybersecurity.
