Job summary

BakerHicks invites graduates to join a dynamic two-year Graduate Programme to become a Chartered High Voltage Engineer. You’ll train on hands-on projects, guided by experienced mentors and supported by structured development journeys across HV design and delivery.

You’ll work within a friendly, ambitious team, gaining exposure to high-profile projects while developing technical and leadership skills for a long-term engineering career.

Qualifications

• 2:1 in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering.
• Proactive mindset and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Produce designs, calculations, reports and drawings for EHV projects (11kV–400kV).
• Prepare bonding line diagrams, cable ratings, fault analyses and thermo‑mechanical calculations.
• Contribute to safety reviews and sustainability considerations.
