Job summary

Ross-shire Engineering Limited is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join the Asset Operations and Maintenance team at our West Thurrock office on a permanent basis. This role offers an opportunity to shape the future of water treatment solutions in the UK.

You will contribute to project surveys, coordinate trades, interpret drawings and support tender and construction programmes, with a focus on safety through CDM compliance and a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

  • Electrical degree or equivalent.
  • Computer literate proficiency with Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willing/adaptable to work in an energetic reactive team environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

  • Project liaison from enquiry stage to final acceptance and documentation, meeting with Clients as required to discuss specific requirements and carry out site surveys as required.
  • Instructing, directing, controlling and allocating work to Trade Operatives & Apprentices, with attention to quality, productivity and safety.
  • Interpret and check drawings, specifications and schedules for all activities, directing works Subcontractor liaison, management including tender specification, quotation and H&S documentation review and appraisal.
  • Input to Tender, design and construction programmes including progress updates and reporting.
  • Preparation of Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans for projects with Principal Contractor responsibility under CDM.

What Are We Looking For

Due to continued growth, our Asset Operations and Maintenance team are looking to recruit a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, working from our West Thurrock office.

Some of your key duties include:
  • Project liaison from enquiry stage to final acceptance and documentation, meeting with Clients as required to discuss specific requirements and carry out site surveys as required.
