Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is helping a Bristol-based robotics company recruit a Graduate Electrical/Electronics Engineer. You will design, test and evolve high-performance electronic systems for robotics and motion control, collaborating with software and mechanical engineers across the development lifecycle.

You will gain hands-on experience with schematic design, PCB layouts and prototype testing, supported by flexible hours, profit sharing and daily lunches with the CEO.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with Electronics or Electrical or Mechatronics degree.
• Knowledge of PCB design using KiCad or similar CAD software.
• Knowledge of analogue, power and digital electronics.
• Knowledge of embedded systems or C/C++ firmware (preferred).

Responsibilities

In this role, the successful candidate will support the design of schematic diagrams and multi-layer PCB layouts, develop analogue and digital electronic systems, build and test prototypes, troubleshoot hardware, support manufacturing, and work closely with software, mechanical and customer teams to deliver high-performance engineering solutions.

The Person:

• Recent graduate with a degree in Electronics, Electrical, mechatronics Engineering or similar
• University project or practical experience involving PCB design using KiCad or similar CAD software
• Knowledge of analogue, power and digital electronics
• Knowledge of embedded systems or C/C++ firmware (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Passionate about developing a career in electronics, robotics and motion control
