Job summary

TRUE Engineers Limited in Plymouth, Devon is seeking a Junior/Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to support building services projects. You will work under experienced engineers to develop electrical designs for hospitals, industrial and commercial buildings, gaining valuable on-the-job training.

You will use CAD and BIM tools (Revit) and assist with outline design schemes, site visits, and ensuring compliance with latest regulations.

Qualifications

This role requires strong communication skills and foundational design knowledge for building services.
Experience with CAD/BIM tools is beneficial for producing electrical designs.
Familiarity with building services design or related coursework is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation of outline design schemes
Visiting site during the construction phase to monitor progress
Ensuring services conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards
Production of drawings under the direction of engineers
Assisting with checking of documents and carry out detailed calculations
Using CAD and BIM (Revit) software to design systems for projects
Assisting with installation of building systems and specifying maintenance procedures
Liaising with structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors
Undertaking duties to obtain experience and training in mechanical/electrical engineering
