Job summary

GRAHAM Academy seeks a Graduate to join our Design Team within the Building Division as an Assistant Design Coordinator. You will coordinate drawings, plans and technical information alongside designers, engineers and project managers on site.

No specialist experience required; a keen interest in how things are built and a strong eye for detail are valued. This two-year programme develops your technical and interpersonal skills with mentored training aligned to a recognised professional

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree-level qualification in a construction-related field.
• Strong interest in construction and design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Some knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Health & Safety awareness.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Previous work experience in Construction industry.
• Problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and coordination of design proposals.
• Support the design team in preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet project requirements.
• Maintain project documentation, ensuring design information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other project-related documents.
• Conduct site visits to understand construction processes and gather relevant data.
• Provide technical support to the design team during the construction phase.
• Assist in resolving design-related issues and queries from the site team.
