Job summary

GSL Education Kent is recruiting for a proactive Graduate Cover Supervisor to join a large secondary school in Canterbury. This full-time, long-term supply role offers a meaningful route into education, helping students access learning across various subjects.

You will supervise classes, deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour, and support pupils while developing classroom leadership and communication skills. A degree and an Enhanced DBS are essential, plus the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience through school work, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or similar roles.
• Right to work in the UK and DBS safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across different subjects and year groups.
• Deliver pre-set lessons and ensure students complete the work provided.
• Manage behaviour and maintain high classroom expectations.
• Support students with their work where appropriate.
• Work alongside teaching and pastoral staff.
• Build positive relationships with students.
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and situations.
