Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is recruiting a Graduate Cover Supervisor for Oldham and surrounding areas. If you are a recent graduate seeking flexible day-to-day supply work in secondary schools, this role offers real classroom experience, the chance to lead classes in the absence of the teacher, and to deliver pre-planned lessons.

Working hours are typically 8.20am to 3.20pm, Monday to Friday, with ad hoc opportunities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• At least six weeks' experience working with groups of children or teenagers within the last three years.
• A referee who can provide a detailed reference for this experience.
• The legal right to work in the UK.
• An Enhanced DBS check and relevant references.
• The ability to travel to schools in Oldham with 30 minutes notice to arrive by 8.15am.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in the absence of the teacher.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and provided resources.
• Manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Encourage independent learning and pupil participation.
• Support pupils with their learning and pastoral needs.
• Provide a clear handover to the class teacher.
