Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is seeking enthusiastic graduates to join our pool of Cover Supervisors across Oldham and surrounding areas. This flexible, day-to-day supply work offers valuable classroom experience in secondary schools.

You'll lead lessons in the absence of teachers, manage behaviour, and support pupil learning. The role suits graduates exploring a career in teaching with regular hours 8:20am–3:20pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Six weeks' experience working with groups of children or teenagers in the last three years.
• An Enhanced DBS check and relevant references are required.
• Legal right to work in the UK is required.
• Ability to travel to schools in Oldham with 30 minutes notice to arrive by 8.15am.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in the absence of the teacher.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and provided resources.
• Manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Encourage independent learning and pupil participation.
• Support pupils with their learning and pastoral needs.
• Provide a clear handover to the class teacher.
