We are working with secondary schools across Blackburn and surrounding areas. Our partner secondary schools are seeking candidates to work as Cover Supervisors. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on daily supply or in longer fixed-term supply contracts.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Lead lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher.
2. Cover classes across a range of secondary school subjects; subject specialization is not required.
3. Follow pre-planned lessons provided in advance.
4. Facilitate class learning, manage classroom behaviour, record accurate registers, and provide handovers to absent teachers.
5. Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, motivation, confidence, and organization.

This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience within a secondary school setting prior to applying for Initial Teacher Training. Previous experience in a secondary school is desirable but not essential.
