Job summary

RLB International is seeking a Graduate Cost Manager to join its Cardiff team. The role forms part of the Future Professionals programme, combining hands-on project exposure, technical training, and mentorship to pursue RICS chartership.

You will work across cost management tasks in a consultancy setting, supported by experienced professionals, with hybrid working arrangements and training focused on both soft and technical skills.

Qualifications

• RICS-accredited degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline (essential).

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
• Assist with feasibility studies and benchmarking.
• Support tender and contract document preparation.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering exercises.
• Monitor and report project costs across the lifecycle.
• Assist with assessment and valuation of variations and change control.
• Assist final accounts preparation.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and design teams under senior guidance.
• Maintain accurate project records and data.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Support research, reporting and best practice development.
