Job summary

Exact Sourcing Ltd is representing a pioneering organisation in Cambridge seeking a Graduate Communications Officer to support communications, community engagement and events.

This role offers an excellent entry path into communications and events, with responsibilities across day-to-day communications, member engagement, events planning and stakeholder coordination, using CRM and Eventbrite, and opportunities to own projects as experience develops.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce polished written content.
• A friendly, confident and professional manner.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
• An interest in communications, events, community engagement or marketing.
• Confidence using digital platforms and an ability to learn new systems quickly.
• The ability to work collaboratively while also taking initiative and ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supporting day-to-day communications with members, visitors and external contacts, ensuring interactions are professional, welcoming and engaging.
• Drafting clear and engaging email communications, including newsletters, event invitations and member updates.
• Supporting the planning and delivery of a varied programme of events, from regular community socials to larger conferences.
• Helping to identify and engage industry speakers, coordinating briefings and supporting event logistics.
• Assisting with requests for high-profile tours and conference bookings, helping to ensure an excellent experience for visitors.
• Using CRM systems and platforms such as Eventbrite to manage attendee information and track engagement.
• Supporting post-event reporting and analysis.
• Working closely with Catering, Administration and Marketing teams to ensure events and communications are delivered smoothly.
• Contributing to wider community engagement and communications projects as required.
