Job summary

Mott MacDonald invites graduates to join their Coastal Engineering team across Bristol, Croydon, and Newcastle. You will contribute to inspection, optioneering, waterfront masterplanning, and design of coastal and flood structures from concept to final design.

The program supports training, mentoring, and a three-year development pathway aimed at building technical expertise and industry understanding, with a strong focus on real-world impact.

Qualifications

• Less than 12 months’ relevant experience (excluding placements).
• Master's degree obtained no earlier than 2025 or expected in relevant disciplines.
• Demonstrate genuine interest in the opportunity and in joining Mott MacDonald.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and appraise existing coastal structures.
• Develop coastal protection and enhancement options (optioneering).
• Support waterfront development and marina masterplanning.
• Design coastal and flood structures from concept to detailed design.
• Manage beach and coastal assets; implement nature-based solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders throughout the project.
