Job summary

The Education Network is seeking a Graduate Cover Supervisor in Shrewsbury. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain real classroom experience before moving into teacher training. You will provide cover for absent teachers, manage classroom behaviour, and support students academically.

The successful candidate will have a degree (2:2 or above) and will demonstrate strong communication skills. This position offers immediate start with the potential for a temporary to permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom cover for absent teachers and manage behaviour.
• Support teaching staff with day-to-day classroom routines.
• Deliver 1:1 and small group academic support.
