This specialist school near Guildford is looking for a dedicated Classroom Assistant to support children aged 4-17 with mild to severe learning difficulties.
The Classroom Assistant role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience, network with professionals, and develop your skills. It offers essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting.
Career progression routes include becoming a Special Needs Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or pursuing Child Psychology and Educational Psychology routes.
Many children with special educational needs face barriers such as marginalisation, trauma, dysfunctional family relationships, low educational attainment, and stigmatisation. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing consistency, support, and tools to help children feel safe, secure, and empowered to succeed.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
**On-site education, training, support, and CPD are provided to ensure safeguarding.
**Work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, during term time only.
**You must have the right to work in the UK; no Visa sponsorship is provided.
