This specialist school near Guildford is looking for a dedicated Classroom Assistant to support children aged 4-17 with mild to severe learning difficulties.
The Classroom Assistant role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience, work closely with professionals, and develop your skills. It provides a pathway to roles such as Special Needs Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and various Child Psychology and Educational Psychology careers.
Many children and young people with special educational needs face challenges like marginalisation, trauma, family issues, low attainment, and stigmatisation, which can hinder their life outcomes. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing consistency, support, and tools to help children feel safe, empowered, and confident in their potential.
We offer excellent on-site education, training, support, and CPD to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, during term time only.
You must have the right to work in the UK to apply – no visa sponsorship available.
You need to be able to travel to Guildford.
