Job summary

Ferrovial Construction UK&I is offering a Graduate Civils Structures Engineer role to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project during its initial design phase. As a Slab Track – Graduate Civil Structural Engineer, you will coordinate interfaces between civil structures and the Standard Slab Track system, working with the design integration lead and wider teams.

The 2-year graduate development programme develops personal, professional and technical skills under supervision of project managers,

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at various levels.
• Degree or master’s in engineering (All disciplines considered).
• Motivated to learn and add value to the team, the role and the Graduate programme.
• Analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving.
• Proactive approach to working and learning.
• Must have the right to work in the UK at start.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination of interfaces between railway track systems and civil structures.
• Support assessment of structural behaviour, including bridge movements, settlement, expansion joints.
• Review engineering drawings, models, and interface details.
• Contribute to design reviews, workshops, and coordination meetings.
• Support maintenance of ICDs and interface registers.
• Identify risks and track actions; ensure timely closure.
