Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Tamworth team and begin a career in the water sector. You will work with experienced engineers on water and wastewater infrastructure projects and gain hands-on experience from day one.

This role offers structured development and a clear pathway toward Chartership, with exposure to multiple disciplines, CDM compliance, and access to design software and digital tools to grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Interest in water, wastewater, utilities or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of core civil engineering principles.
• Familiarity with design software or digital tools.
• Commitment to professional development and Chartership.

Responsibilities

• Support civil design across water and wastewater projects.
• Assist with drawings, calculations, reports and design documentation.
• Work alongside civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers.
• Develop understanding of water infrastructure and hydraulic principles.
• Apply CDM and health and safety requirements to project work.
• Develop experience with engineering design software and digital tools.
• Support project teams through design and delivery stages.
