Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer in Rotherham. You will assist with civil and structural designs for rail projects, prepare calculations and drawings, and liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Good communication, organisation and IT skills.
• Interest in rail infrastructure and design work.
• Experience with CAD or engineering design software is a plus.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and hold a UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil and structural designs for rail infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Produce and review drawings ensuring compliance with standards and Eurocodes.
• Support design coordination, technical reviews and project submissions.
• Attend site visits, surveys and inspections as required.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
