Job summary

Galliford Try Group is offering a two-year Environment-focused Graduate Civil Engineer programme in the UK. Based in Bournemouth / Hampshire / Kent, you’ll start in September 2027 and work on site, assisting with setting out, engineering control and sustainability initiatives.

You will be supported to gain professional qualifications with a dedicated mentor, and the role includes a starting salary and generous benefits as part of our Early Careers programme.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) completed or on-track by Sept 2027.
• Full UK driving licence expected by 6 Sept 2027.
• Willingness to work across locations in Bournemouth / Hampshire / Kent and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist site engineers with setting out and engineering control on site.
• Contribute to a knowingly safe working environment and manage information for operatives and subcontractors.
• Complete diary sheets and provide photographic evidence as required.
• Assist in material reconciliations and ensure equipment calibration.
• Carry out as‑built surveys and support 2D/3D site sketches.
• Maintain quality records and IT Plans (ITP) in line with standards.
• Support basic planning, monitoring and programming on projects.
• Identify opportunities to minimise waste and introducing improvements on site.
