Job summary

Galliford Try Group’s UK Graduate Development Programme offers a two-year, hands-on route into civil engineering, with modules to build leadership, interpersonal, and technical skills, supported by mentors and professional qualification opportunities.

Starting salary is £31,250, with company car eligibility, generous holiday, private medical cover, volunteering days and flexible/agile working options as you gain real on-site experience across projects in Scotland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) completed by Sep 2027.
• Full UK driving licence or eligibility to obtain by Sep 2027.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Engineers with setting out and engineering control on site.
• Contribute to creating a safe working environment and communicate with operatives and subcontractors.
• Complete diary sheets and photographic evidence as required.
• Assist in material reconciliations and ensure equipment calibration.
• Assist in carrying out as-built surveys and producing 2D & 3D site sketches.
• Maintain quality records and ensure works align with IT plans and as-built documentation.
• Support basic planning, monitoring and programming on projects.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and introduce new processes on site.
