Job summary

OCU in Glasgow invites graduates to join its Two-Year Graduate Programme in civil engineering. You will design, develop and deliver infrastructure and utility projects across the UK, starting from feasibility through to handover.

Based in Glasgow or Perth, you will work with a multidisciplinary team, gain hands-on experience on site and office environments, and progress with structured training and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering or related field with 2:2.
• Full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
• Experience gained through academic projects, placements, internships or extracurricular activities involving civil engineering, infrastructure design, construction or project delivery would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support civil engineering design, development and delivery across infrastructure and utility projects.
• Work from Glasgow or Perth with a multidisciplinary team to deliver UK-wide projects.
• Assist feasibility and design through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and clients on technical assessments and safety/quality/regulatory compliance.
• Assist with engineering calculations, site surveys, reports, design reviews and planning.
• Gain experience in utility networks, civil structures, drainage, highways and related works.
• Develop knowledge of standards, construction methods and project delivery processes.
• Work across office and site environments to gain hands-on experience.
