Job summary

GPW Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Engineer - Civil Engineering for Deeside, North Wales, with travel to project sites as required. The role offers a £30,000-£35,000 salary and a clear path into civil engineering and construction management.

You will support day-to-day site delivery, assist with inspections, method statements, planning and reporting, and work closely with engineers and project managers across major civil projects.

Qualifications

• A Degree, HNC/HND or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• A genuine interest in developing a career within Civil Engineering.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good IT skills.
• The ability to work in a busy site-based environment.
• A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• A Full UK Driving Licence.
• Flexibility to travel and work across different project locations when required.
• Previous site experience, a placement year or internship within construction or civil engineering would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting engineering and project teams with the day-to-day delivery of site activities.
• Assisting with site inspections, records and project documentation.
• Supporting the preparation of method statements and other site documentation.
• Assisting with project planning, progress reporting and coordination.
• Working closely with site teams, engineers and project managers.
• Supporting the coordination of subcontractors and project activities.
• Assisting with technical queries and problem-solving on site.
• Developing an understanding of health, safety and quality requirements.
• Gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle.
