Graduate Civil Engineer - Required

Our client, based in Ipswich, is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a unique employee-owned company working across Rail, Marine, and Structures industries. The role involves working within the Rail team on civil and structural projects, including inspections, reporting, asset management support, and designing new works.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in preparing calculations and check in accordance with relevant standards
  2. Conduct site inspections, supervision, and surveys
  3. Guide technicians in producing drawings
  4. Manage projects from conception to construction with assistance
  5. Prepare and review reports
  6. Attend client and site meetings
  7. Support staff training and mentoring of trainees
Qualifications
  • A UK degree in civil or structural engineering (ideally 2:1 or above), HNC, or equivalent with relevant experience
  • Willing to work towards professional qualification
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • UK-based work experience is advantageous but not essential; rail experience is not expected
  • Full driving license
