Job summary

HCRG Care Group in Colchester is recruiting two graduate-level Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners Trainee to join the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Services. This fully funded one-year training position combines university study with practical service delivery.

You will train via Anna Freud, gain experience in guided self-help and evidence-based interventions for anxiety, low mood, and behavioural difficulties, and contribute to multi-agency work supporting children, young people and families.

Qualifications

• Second-class or higher bachelor’s degree from a UK university in a relevant subject
• Overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relevant subject
• Degree with further training or experience in a relevant field (e.g. teaching, TA, learning support)
• Confidence using IT systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Recruit 2 graduate level practitioners to provide guided self-help therapy and parenting interventions
• Fully funded for a one year while training via university and working in the service
• Learn evidence-based and collaborative practice with stakeholders across health, social care and education
• Develop abilities in outcome measures, feedback tools and client-centred interventions
• Attend university days and work in the service during term time and holidays
• Be introduced to a range of CYP Psychological Trainings outcomes and review them with families
