Aon plc is seeking a graduate for its Catastrophe Modelling programme based in London. You will join a collaborative team and learn to prepare data, run models, and translate complex results into client insights while using AI-enabled tools responsibly.

The programme emphasizes learning across data analytics, SQL/Python, and model development, with strong development in data governance and client delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2:1 degree in mathematics/statistics, finance/economics, sciences/technology or similar quantitative field.
• GIS experience is advantageous.
• Exposure to programming (Python or R) is useful but not essential; technical capability will be developed.
• PhD or Master’s graduates, or equivalent experience, are welcomed.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, interpret and quality‑check client exposure, insurance and claims data.
• Run catastrophe models to quantify likelihood and impact of events (natural, cyber, etc.).
• Analyse model outputs and translate results into client‑facing insights.
• Evaluate data quality and determine when expert review is needed.
• Monitor major catastrophe events and provide timely information for decision making.
• Develop datasets, analytical tools, models and client solutions (SQL, Python, data pipelines).
• Consider AI‑enabled tools, ensure reliability and client relevance.
