Ideal candidates will have an HNC in Mechanical Engineering and some CAD experience, particularly with AutoCad and Inventor.

Qualifications

• HNC in Mechanical Engineering preferred or similar.
• 6 months-2 years in CAD Draftsperson activities with Offshore/Subsea Engineering background.
• Technical knowledge in AutoCad and Inventor.

• Assist with preparation of design drawings (Mechanical, Structural & Layouts).

Our client is currently recruiting for a Graduate CAD Design Draftsperson. Based in Aberdeen, the role is on a permanent (staff) basis and offers hybrid working.

ROLE

As Graduate CAD Design Draftsperson you will be part of the ROV Operation department within the Robotics and industrialized solutions business line. You will support the mechanical and structural drawing. As a junior resource, you will receive training with a view to providing assistance with ongoing and future project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out 3D modelling & 2D draughting tasks using AutoCad & Inventor.
• Assist with preparation of design drawings (Mechanical, Structural & Layouts).
• Prepare bill of materials for requisitions.
• Update drawings with feedback received from other teams during design check.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: HNC in Mechanical Engineering preferred or similar
• Experience: 6 months-2 years in CAD Draftsperson activities with relevant Offshore/Subsea Engineering background
• Technical knowledge: Graphic communication qualification (Autocad, Inventor or both), intermediate Autodesk-based CAD products
• IT skills: Microsoft Office Suite
