Job summary

1st Select is seeking a motivated Graduate Building Surveyor to join its building surveying team in Leeds. You will undertake fabric condition surveys across a range of properties, inspecting building fabric and recording condition information on site, while supporting reports and planned maintenance programmes.

You will work alongside experienced surveyors, developing practical surveying skills and knowledge of building pathology, repair techniques and maintenance strategies.

Qualifications

• Must have a Building Surveying degree or be working towards an RICS-accredited qualification.
• Interest in building defects, pathology and surveying practices.
• Willing to travel to client properties and work on site.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fabric condition surveys and detailed visual inspections of building fabric.
• Identify defects and deterioration, recording observations with photographs.
• Prepare and contribute to fabric condition survey reports and defect schedules.
• Support lifecycle assessments, maintenance planning and client reporting.
