Job summary

Arup in Southampton is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary design teams. You will contribute to electrical building services, supported by an IET accredited training path toward professional status.

You will design power distribution, lighting and protection systems, develop reports and work in 3D using Revit MEP, collaborating with architects and other engineers to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word; basic knowledge of building services.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection systems for buildings and projects.
• Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies.
• Create lighting photometric modelling for projects.
• Prepare technical reports and calculations.
• Work in 3D using Revit MEP for integrated designs.
• Develop electrical calculation reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with Architects, Fire Engineers and other disciplines to develop designs.

We are currently recruiting Graduate Electrical Engineers to join our multi-disciplinary design teams across the UK. As well as an IET accredited training scheme to support you towards obtaining professional status,we offer excellent training and development opportunities to ourcolleagues. Responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

An Undergraduate / Bachelor's level (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering with proficiency in excel, word and basic knowledge of building services

• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts.
