Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our Cardiff design teams. You will follow an IET-accredited training plan toward professional status and gain exposure to power, lighting and building services design across Healthcare, Science & Industry and Transport sectors.

You will contribute to 3D design in Revit MEP, perform electrical calculations, and work with architects and engineers to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; basic knowledge of building services.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection systems for buildings.
• Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies.
• Create lighting photometric models and develop electrical calculations.
• Prepare technical reports and use Revit MEP for 3D design.
• Collaborate with Architects, Fire Engineers and other disciplines.
• Support reports and calculations development within Arup teams.

We are currently recruiting Graduate Electrical Engineers to joinour multi-disciplinary design teams across the UK. As well as an IET accredited training scheme to support you towards obtaining professional status,we offer excellent training and development opportunities to ourcolleagues. Responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

An Undergraduate / Bachelor's level (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering with proficiency in excel, word and basic knowledge of building services

• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts.
