Job summary

Arup is hiring a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join its multi-disciplinary design teams in Cardiff. You will contribute to power distribution, lighting and fire-detection design for buildings and work within Revit MEP to develop 3D models and calculations.

The role includes an IET accredited training scheme toward professional status and strong development support. Ideal candidates are recent graduates in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with proficiency in Excel and Word, and a basic

• Undergraduate / Bachelor's level (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; basic knowledge of building services.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection systems for buildings.
• Short circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies.
• Lighting photometric modelling.
• Technical report writing.
• Work in 3D using Revit MEP.
• Development of reports and electrical calculations.
• Collaborate with Architects, Fire Engineers and other disciplines within Arup to develop designs.
