Job summary

Cowi is seeking a Graduate Engineer (Bridges/Structures) for a Summer Intake based in Bristol. This permanent, office/home hybrid role offers exposure to prestigious UK bridge projects and a development path toward Chartership.

You will work within a supportive Bridge Structures team, contributing to designs from concept through detailed design and gaining practical field experience. You will collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams, prepare calculations and reports, review peers' work, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or closely related discipline
• Genuine interest in becoming Chartered Engineer with commitment to Chartership
• Some practical engineering experience (e.g., year in industry, summer placements, or relevant project)

Responsibilities

• Produce structural designs, assessments and evaluations for bridge projects from concept through detailed design
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports and specifications in line with codes and standards
• Review calculations and drawings produced by others to develop technical accuracy
• Attend site visits and participate in client meetings and design reviews
