Qualifications

• A graduate background or relevant childcare qualification is preferred.
• Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable.
• Experience in behaviour support, mentoring or pastoral care is advantageous.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Confident communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to respond positively to challenging behaviour.
• Reliable and available to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral and behavioural support to pupils.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
• Support pupils in managing emotions and developing self-regulation.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and attendance.
• Implement agreed behaviour strategies consistently.
• Support pupils during lessons, transitions and less structured periods.
• Help deliver targeted interventions and individual support.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider school team.
• Contribute to a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
