Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a resilient Graduate Behaviour Mentor for a specialist SEMH school in Gateshead. You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis, help with emotional regulation, and foster engagement with learning alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff.

This is a full-time, long-term role with a daily rate of £92.63–£105. The position offers hands-on SEMH experience, behavioural support development, and potential long-term opportunities through Protocol Education.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate seeking experience in SEMH environments.
• Ability to work with pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Willingness to develop skills in behaviour support and emotional regulation.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis.
• Build positive professional relationships with pupils and staff.
• Encourage engagement with learning and classroom participation.
• Support emotional regulation and manage challenging behaviour.
• Deliver targeted support and interventions as needed.
