Job summary

Saffery is seeking a Graduate Audit Trainee (ACA) in High Wycombe, starting September 2027, to begin a three-year ACA path with full training and on‑the‑job learning. The role welcomes graduates from all backgrounds and focuses on developing audit and accounting skills through structured development and client exposure.

You’ll work with clients across various industries, gain exposure to planning, fieldwork, and reporting, and progress under mentorship while studying for the ACA qualification.

Qualifications

• 2:1 undergraduate degree (any discipline) required.
• 120 UCAS points from top 3 A Levels/Highers required.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade 6/B or higher required.
• AAT Level 4 is welcome; exemptions may apply when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Take trainees through various stages of an audit from planning to completion.
• Support audit engagements for clients across industries by testing financial information and reviewing key controls.
• Prepare clear, well-structured audit documentation and working papers.
• Work with client financial data using a range of accounting systems and audit tools.
• Assist with planning and fieldwork, both in the office and on client sites.
• Build strong relationships with clients to understand their business.
• Identify and investigate differences or inconsistencies in financial information.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality audit work to deadlines.

Education

2:1 undergraduate degree (any discipline)

120 UCAS points (top 3 A Levels/Highers)

GCSE Maths and English (minimum 6/B)

AAT Level 4 (optional exemptions)
