Graduate Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an engineering function in the middle of multiple new programme launches and gain valuable hands-on experience within a fast-paced and stimulating automotive manufacturing environment.
Main purpose of the job
To support the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team in the development and implementation of efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production processes for new product introductions. This role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, support tooling procurement, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
Main missions and results
- Assist in the design and development of manufacturing equipment and processes for new projects, ensuring alignment with product design and quality requirements.
- Support the specification, sourcing, and procurement of production equipment, tooling, jigs, and fixtures in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in process validation and capability studies to ensure robust and repeatable manufacturing solutions.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of process documentation, including work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans.
- Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist in the evaluation and integration of new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions.
- Ensure all new products, process and materials are safe and complete health and safety documents as required.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Some understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling design, and production workflows.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) and basic knowledge of GD&T.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across departments.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment.

Working hours are 37.5 per week, and this position would be eligible for some hybrid working, based on hiring manager and function lead approval. Training will be given to the right candidate with the opportunity to join an expanding site within our organisation.
