Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Psychology Graduate to work as a Learning Support Assistant in a mainstream primary school in the L32 area, Liverpool. The role is part-time (3 days per week) and focuses on supporting KS2 pupils academically, emotionally, and socially.

Ideal for graduates considering Educational Psychology, Child Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or Occupational Therapy, with close collaboration with teachers and the SENCO to remove barriers to learning.

Qualifications

• A degree in Psychology or a relevant subject within the last 5 years.
• Interest in child development, behaviour and educational psychology.
• Experience with children or young people via schools, tutoring, clubs, care or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils with emotional regulation, concentration, and social interaction.

• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Observe, monitor, and accurately record pupil progress and behaviour.

• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Role Overview

Are you a Psychology Graduate with a strong interest in child development, learning, and wellbeing? Are you looking to gain valuable hands‑on experience supporting pupils academically, emotionally, and socially within a KS2 setting?

Milk Education is recruiting a Psychology Graduate to work as a Learning Support Assistant in a welcoming mainstream primary school in the L32 area of Liverpool, on a part‑time basis of 3 days per week.

This role is ideal for graduates considering future careers in Educational Psychology, Child Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or Occupational Therapy.

You will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and support staff to help pupils overcome barriers to learning during this key stage of their education.
