Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a General Practitioner with an Extended Role (GPwER) in ENT. The role offers a part-time salaried position on the Specialty Doctor scale with flexible working alongside your primary care duties.

You will provide ENT services in conjunction with colleagues, participate in outpatient clinics, referral triage, and Advice & Guidance, and contribute to evolving ENT pathways across primary and secondary care.

Qualifications

• GP with ENT experience
• Ability to work part-time across outpatient clinics and PAs
• Experience in education/mentoring of primary care colleagues

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients referred with ENT conditions
• Triaging of referrals and providing Advice & Guidance
• Provision of ENT clinical interventions (e.g. micro-suction, flexible nasal endoscopy, audiology)
• Signpost patients to local and national support services
• Support and train primary care colleagues in ENT management
• Provide remote support (telephone/email) and collaborate with other GPwERs and ENT teams
• Help shape integrated ENT pathways across primary and secondary care
