Job summary

Lightning AI is seeking a GPU & Compute Infrastructure Engineer to bring up, validate, and operate large-scale bare-metal compute infrastructure, with a focus on GPU-enabled systems. You’ll own system diagnostics, automation, and tooling to ensure scalable, reliable clusters for AI workloads.

You’ll work at the intersection of hardware, systems, and software, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve image pipelines, validation, and day-one readiness across production environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering or related roles.
• Strong Linux experience in production environments.
• Hands-on with GPU-enabled systems and NVIDIA DCGM.
• Familiarity with bare-metal provisioning and system bring-up workflows.
• Proficiency in Python or similar for automation.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve image management, deployment, and validation across bare-metal infrastructure.
• Run and maintain test clusters for system validation and bring-up.
• Validate firmware, drivers, and OS images across compute and GPU-enabled systems.
• Support hardware qualification efforts for next-generation platforms.
• Develop Python-based tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
