Job summary

Cantilupe Surgery in the West Midlands is seeking a fully qualified GP for a 12‑month ARRS-funded post. The role involves four sessions weekly, managing acute and chronic conditions, and home visits one morning per week. You will work with a multidisciplinary team and follow the BMA model contract.

Applicants must be GMC-registered, on the GP register and unrestricted on the performers list. The post offers professional development and a supportive learning environment with regular CPD meetings.

Qualifications

• MRCGP or equivalent qualification is required.
• GMC registration and inclusion on the GP register.
• Inclusion on a performers list without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based medical care to registered patients face to face, by phone and online.
• Run four surgery sessions a week, seeing booked and on-the-day patients, plus one morning home-visit session.
• Manage acute, chronic and complex health conditions.
• Carry out consultations, examinations, diagnoses and treatment planning.
• Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and community services.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit and quality improvement.
• Take part in the duty doctor rota and on-call schedule where applicable.
• Keep accurate patient records on EMIS.
• Support health promotion, disease prevention and patient education.
• Attend clinical meetings, CPD and annual appraisals.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, ANPs and social prescribers.
• Support GP colleagues with a flexible approach within the work plan.
