Job summary

Primary Care 24 seeks General Practitioners for its bank workforce to work shifts across GP practices as needed. Shifts run on weekdays between 8:00 and 18:30, with staff bidding for available shifts. Full GMC registration is required to apply.

GPs will deliver medical services, diagnose and manage care plans, and collaborate with secondary and community NHS teams. DBS check and IT competence are also needed to ensure high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Understanding of clinical risk management and clinical governance.
• Ability to take independent clinical decisions and seek advice when needed.
• Ability to manage own time and workload in line with SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medical services with due care, applying skills and experience in line with good medical practice.
• Diagnose and investigate patients' conditions, putting a care plan in place.
• Manage medicines and occasional urgent test results.
• Integrate social prescribing into patient care.
• Support clinical colleagues and operational teams.
• Work with clinical leads and the medical director to challenge and improve the service.
• Keep clinical reports to a high standard.
• Consider community needs and wider determinants of health.
• Keep thorough clinical records.
• Work with other healthcare professionals and providers, including secondary and community NHS staff, using all available communication routes.
