Job summary

Maidstone-based GP practice is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will assist in medicines optimisation, support prescribing safety, and work closely with GPs, Clinical Pharmacists and nurses to improve patient care.

The role offers full- or part-time hours in a permanent position, with a focus on developing skills within primary care and contributing to high-quality prescribing across the practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician with GPhC registration and current practice.
• Strong communication and organisational skills essential.
• Attention to detail and patient-focused approach required.
• Able to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in medicines optimisation and primary care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support prescription processes and medicines reconciliation in primary care.
• Conduct structured medication reviews within competency.
• Handle medication queries and optimise prescribing safety.
• Assist with repeat prescription management and processing.
• Collaborate with GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Nurses and MDT members.
• Support audits, clinical searches and record-keeping.
• Help patients get the most from their medicines and liaise with community pharmacies.
